Is TESTivity an "approved provider" in Mississippi?

    A state-approved pre-licensing education course is required in Mississippi before sitting for the state licensing exam. While Mississippi allows potential agents to prepare for their insurance license online, the Mississippi Department of Insurance has NOT approved the Virtual Learning Experience as a pre-licensing course. Until we are approved, this course is offered as a supplement to an approved course whereas it will NOT satisfy your full pre-licensing requirement.

What are the questions on the Mississippi insurance exam like? Do you have any sample insurance test questions?

    The questions in our insurance exam simulator are VERY representative of the questions on the Mississippi state licensing exam. Here are a couple examples of what you can expect:

Mississippi Property & Casualty Exam Questions

An insured fails to disclose material information to an agent concerning his/her property exposures. The insured has engaged in which of the following?

  1. Warranty violation
  2. Waiver
  3. Fraud
  4. Misrepresentation

Mississippi Life & Health Exam Questions

Under the provisions of the fixed period settlement option, the:

  1. Principal amount is gradually decreased to zero as it is paid out
  2. Principal amount is invested by the insurance company, with only the interest being paid to the policy owner
  3. The principal amount never decreases
  4. Interest on the principal amount is not paid to the beneficiary

Mississippi Insurance Regulations

In Mississippi, a lapsed policy may be reinstated:

  1. within 1 year of policy lapse
  2. up to 90 days after the grace period expires
  3. never
  4. within 3 years of policy lapse

Answer: D

If a statement is made on an application that the applicant knows is false, it is a misrepresentation, and MAY constitute fraud. If the insurer can prove that the misrepresentation was made intentionally, it may void the contract. Concealment or omission of a material fact constitutes misrepresentation.

Answer: A

With a fixed period settlement option, a specified amount is paid out regularly for a specified period of time. If the beneficiary dies during this payout period, the company would continue payments to that person's beneficiary for the remainder of the period. The amount of payment depends on the face amount, the rate of interest, and the length of the payout period.

Answer: D 

If a policy lapses, Mississippi insurance law allows the policy owner may apply to have the policy reinstated. The insured must provide evidence of insurability; and pay past-due premiums, any outstanding policy loans, and interest on the outstanding loan and past-due premiums. Reinstatement must be applied for within 3 years.
